Local Auction: Going out business!!!

yes you just walk in, give them $100 cash deposit and spend the day. If you buy anything you have to take it typically the same day after the auction ends, cannot just grab it and go.

If you don't buy anything you just get your $100 back

Only advice is to know your item before bidding, the preview time is at 9am. Make sure you take advantage to look up prices on what your buying. I was at one a few months ago and people were bidding items well above the internet prices. Most often the top of the line stuff is not at the auction.

I will be at this one, likely about 10 take a look around and decide if it is worth staying. They take a long time typically to complete the entire auction, as they almost always start late.

That's the key. Know the price of what you want. Whether new or used. Best thing to do is to go during the preview period and see if there's anything you want. As you can see at this store it's more than just fish products. There are plenty of deals for many kinds of pets. Also they usually bundle up many items so you might have to buy more than you want but if it's something that doesn't expire and you know you'll use it you'll get great deals. Sometimes they do require a deposit like mentioned above but the last one I went to did not. But you do have to wait till the auction is over to claim your item.

I was there and gave up as they started opposite side of the building from the very few salty items. I would like to have grabbed a couple of the blue plexi tanks, but they sold them in bulk (about 40 of them).

almost the entire store was sold in lots like that. made it hard for a regular joe to buy something.
