Local glass shops

I was looking for local glass shops who can cut for me 1/4" panels for my sump baffles. The only one I found near me (Dunbar) is Mountaineer Glass. A square foot (or less) panel, cut and polished is $8.25 each. I got them yesterday and it seems like they were all cut to the exact proportions and polished well.

Anyone know of any shops that are cheaper?

My local glass guy give me all this for free when I need it :) but I send alot of work his way so it all works out.

What were the dimensions of the panels Reggie, this is good info for me, becasue last time I made a sump I used thick acrylic which I would imagine is more expensive.

You can have them cut to whatever dimensions you need. I think they price it by sq. ft. 12"x12" or smaller is $8.25. The glass is 1/4" thick and the sides are polished.

The inner width of my sump is exactly 12". I had them cut the width of the panels at 11 7/8". I measured them on the sump and they fix exactly how I like it.

Now to get some silicone. I'm looking at the RTV 108.

Btw, you don't need to go there to place an order. Just call them and tell them what you need. They will just call you when your order is ready.

Hmmm, silicone is another subject I kno very little about, all that I have ever used is the all glass silicone that is locally offered, and it did the job pretty well. You have to watch and make sure you don't get the black kind though, unles that's what your looking for.

Reggie. That is not a bad price at all... I looked around at those for my last sump and all my prices were higher than that..... I think the cheapest I could find was in the $10-$12 range....

Thanks. I was just seeing like $4-$5 quotes in some states in some threads here in RC that's why I'm wondering if there are better sources locally.
