Looking for a few good fish

I need some ideas, I would like a large fish as a center piece, any thoughts?

Can I have a tang, or a trigger with this set up?

I have a 75gal reef mixed. Currently housing a lawnmower blenny, a coral beauty, and I want to add a six line wrasse.

Any suggestions would be great.

Most triggers get to big to be in a 75 gallon long-term. Do you like yellow tangs or kole tangs?

I just looked up a Kole tang. I like the way it looks, but I've never seen one in person. I figured that a trigger was too big.

Get a porc. puffer. They look cool when they get big.

If its a reef tank then I would not get a porcupine puffer.

Tang police are gonna come after you if you put one in a 75... I think maybe a yellow tang, but most are gonna say "no tangs in a 75 gal!".

Yeah, I'd go with a yellow tang in a 75g tank. Most police will let you get away with that.

I just can think of a nice large center piece fish that doesn't clash with something or is too big or active for your tank. Tangs=tang police nuff said. Butterflys and large angels not reef safe. Triggers and eels eat all your snails, crabs, and shrimp. Lions eat everything else.

Maybe a few schooling fish. Make a large fish out of a bunch of small ones.

If you don't put too many more fish, one tang will be fine. Don't be afraid of the tang police. They freak out if a tank is in anything smaller than a rediculously sized tank. Like 150 or 200 gallons. They remind me of PETA.

Yellow tangs are, in my opinion, a little spastic and can be aggressive towards new tank inhabitants. Kohl tangs, powder blue or powder brown tangs are a little less spastic but get bigger. Hippo tangs are a gamble as far as personality.

I like the tangs, and the triggers for that matter. I saw a full grown blue jaw trigger, and felt that it would be too big as an adult. Several of the tangs look smaller, but that dosen't mean they need less space. When I started this hobby, a 75gal seemed so big, kinda funny now.

I like wrasses when they are small, but as adults I think they look and swim funny. With the exception of the 6line I really like those, but if I had one, I don't think I could have any others. Thanks.

A purple tang is a great centerpiece. I love mine. In an 80g reef with a 6 line wrasse and assorted others it is a great fish.

I have a sixline and yellow choris wrasse, foxface, yellow tang, LMB, twin spot and rainford gobies and a percula clown in my 90. I have my rock set up so that there is plenty of swimming room. No problems to date and I do not intend to add anymore fish to this tank.

Try looking at the Halichoeres genus of wrasses. I'm thinking that you are referring to how the fairy/flasher wrasses look funny swimming as they get older/bigger. The halichoeres wrasses can fit in a 75 gallon.
