I saw this Gonodactylus Platysoma at Amazon Aquarium in Alameda last Wednesday. It's a great looking stomatopod, but Dr. Roy describes them as not being very hardy in aquariums.
Thanks Rogue! However i need a hardy one... I have had 2 6' O.S and each of them have developed shell disease and died within 3 months... shelled out 40 smackers for each one. Got one of them from aquatic variations in hayward and the other from atlantis aquarium in Fremont. So this time I am looking for a more robust and hardy mantis.....
I've just recently made a deal with a LFS that if he runs into any mantis from curing his LR he'll catch them (like he normally does) and give me a call. He said he usually just flushes them so it wouldn't be a problem to hold it for a day for me to go get it. Maybe you can try the same thing.
