Looking for a Squamie

Anyone seen any Squamosa clams while you were out and about last weekend? I'm looking for a nice one and will probably trade my 8-9" Gigas if I find a good one.

It's a pipe dream but I'd luv a blue one.:p

Hey Bob Lemme know what's your price range and we can arrange something.

I think I remember what you dropped on that blue one of yours and that is still too rich for my blood. I guess around 100 clams (pun intended  ), or something less with a trade for my Gigas.

Hey Bob-I just saw one yesterday $180 nice I may pick it up myself.
BTW my blue is no more as a big acro colony fell right on top of it and broke its mantle the rest is history as u know.
As far as the blue- hard to get one for less than 3 clams!

Yeah, it happens. Of all the angels and other fish in my tank, the only thing that irritates the clam in my tank is the Dejardini. I love the tang, and he's got a great personality, but he loves to harass clams when they're in the open.

One suggestion that I suggest trying out before getting rid of the tang is to try putting the clam up somewhere in the rocks, possibly even in a smaller crevice. Thats where my surviving clam is, and he does fine since Croceas are supposed to be in the rocks in the first place, and the sailfin either can't reach him there or doesn't see him or something, but they've been doing fine since I moved it.

I posted about this in the Reef Fishes as well as Clam forum here on RC and some people tried my method, most with success. HTH.

Manny...if you go to the Squamosa page on Clams Direct does yours look like the clam on the left, the right or neither?
