looking for aquascaper

Anyone good at aquascaping. I've got a 55 gallon that I'm restarting sometime soon. I'm looking for base rock for shelves and caves. Any suggestions. I've never put a tank together with the purpose of putting coral in (yes I have a few in right now, but nothing perminant). Plus, I want to do it right the first time, so I don't have to do it again. Any suggestions, opinions, hands on help of any kind would be great. Depending on how long my diatom bloom goes, and my $$ situation, I'll get started soon.
