Looking for ideas for silver/iridescent type fish

Hello,
Im looking to add an interesting silver/shiny type fish to my FOWLR tank. It would need to be ok in a smaller tank,40gal. Ive heard white tip shark cats can live in salt and ive looked at silver scats. I also like the look of the lookdown fish, but theyre too big and i have too many rocks. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What kind of lights have you got?
The blue lights on my LED's really make some fish pop. It's like a black light effect almost. My chalk bass doesn't look so special under just regular room-lighting, but the tank lights give a lot of shimmer, it's remarkable. And my anthias have secret racing stripes by their eyes that glow when the white channel cuts off and they are just lit by the blues. I was surprised by how much different these fish look than they did when I was googling them before buying. It's like all the pics in Google are either sellers going for a realistic natural look, or people using bad cell phone flash cams.

I've got really cheap LED's btw, it's not a special effect or anything. Also, the catshark ain't gonna happen in a 40.

+1 on the Long Spine Cardinals, aka Blue Eyed Cardinals. I have 4 of the in my 93 and sometimes their eyes shine like blue gems + the silver bodies look shiny. In your 40, 2-3 would not be a problem as the don't need a whole lot of room to swim.

Unfortunately the tank is too small for them, otherwise I would recommend Monodactylus argenteus, a great schooling fish.
