Looking for lights for 125g reef

I am looking for some lights to go over my 125g reef. I am currently running two 48 inch pc units but I would like to find a 72 inch unit and sell the two 48 inch units. I plan on keeping LPS and softies for now. I think MH are going to be too expensive for me right now so PCs, T5s, or VHOs are probably my best bet. If anyone knows of anybody that has some lighting for sale or where I could look to find what I need let me know.

Thanks,
Justin

i got some 60" vhos for my tank from hellolights.com
best prices that i could find. i think this month if you buy over $150 worth they are throwing in a free gift... they couldn't of done that last month though. >: (

i don't have them set up on my tank yet. so i can't vouch for how they work. but i'm sure they'll be fine.

I'm gonna have a dual 250W MH retro set up for sale soon.... bulbs are almost done, but have a month left in them. Wanting to get around $175 for it. Brand new it was $300.

I've got a couple of 150W lamps and ballasts if you are interested. The ballasts are used while the lamps are new.

I had a post that has move on to the bottom of the list..... let's see if I can find it as it had all the details on the lamp/ballast...

I'd take $75 for two ballasts and two lamps.

I also have two 1-lamp 4' T8 strip lights with Advance Mark 7 dimming ballasts used for about 8 hours total. $15 bucks each. (each ballast is probably worth $75 new).

After I set up the new tank, I'm going gather all my "stuff" decorating the basement and try and get rid of it.. Whatever does not sell is going in the trash!

So that would be like, $80 for the regular Venture and a ballast? do the bulbs work on the ballasts?

Thanks

I tested out both ballasts on the blue lamp (medium base). I didn't have a mogul socket handy so I didn't get to test the venture lamp, but it uses the same ballast, so it will work.

PM me if you are interested in them. I'll be around on Sat working on the fish tank.

I have 2 reflector/mogul bases that will be for sale when I change mine out. All you would need is 2 ballasts to run them.

http://www.hellolights.com/methalparref.html I guess I'd sell them both for 30 with mogul or both for 20 w/o the mogul base. I was going to use the moguls on my new reflector but I may just order new ones and save the drilling of the hole and new rivets. I need a few weeks notice if you want to buy them though because I haven't even started this project but it would kick me in gear to get going on it.

Those are the exact one's I was looking at doc. at hellolights also. I will take them both, with moguls, tell me when I can get them.
just PM me.

The ballasts are old. I've had them for two years decorating a box and the guy I bought them from did the same thing I did. Age should not be a big issue as alternating electric fields is what degrades the epoxy on the metal plates which causes them to become noisy over years of operation.

The 10K lamp is $40 as it's the only really good thing in the package. Both lamps are brand new (6 months - but never used). (Actually if I can get a hold of a 20,000K spectrum I can compare that to the blue lamp to see how much they vary. I suspect they do not vary by much, which is why I got that lamp in the first place).

If you do happen to be interested in the lamp/ballast combo, I'd sell that for $50.

I'd be willing to drop to $70 for all four since I need to get a $70 DE lamp.

Send me a PM if interested. I won't be available too much till this weekend.

So your saying that the ballasta are not noisy? I won't be buying all four. Just the bulb and a ballast, if I do. Do you have to get those ballasts wired by a proffessional electicion?

I can show you how to wire them. It is very simple. We can fire them both up and you can decide about the sound. I don't remember hearing any sound when I tried them last.
