Looking for my next fish. Advice pelase!!

I have a 120g with 2 occi clowns in it right now. This is my first salt water tank. They have been in the tank about 6 weeks and are doing great. They even did fine being left for 1 week alone when I went on vacation. Now that I am back, it is time for a new fish. I was thinking a goby and maybe a goby/shrimp pair. I briefly had a yellow watchman that unfortunately died a few days after I got it, but since I knew I had a trip comming I did not replce the fish. I would be to do a yellow again, but was looking for ideas.

Some of my personal favorite fish are:

Flame Angel

You have a nice sized tank that could accomodate any of the above and many more.

IF this is going to be a reef tank then I'd strongly consider researching the leamon peel angel if you decided to go down that path as they can pick at corals. A foxface whilst cute and small at the LFS will ultimately outgrow a 120g at 25cm (http://www.fishbase.org/summary/Siganus-vulpinus.html).

The goby/shrimp pair are usually best suited to smaller dedicated tanks (from my research) because they get spooked easily and will just hide as well as needing alot of cleared substrate around their home to see their natural interactions.

I'm a fan of Halichoeres chrysus wrasse, as they are active and quite attractive whilst being a good tank mate to pretty much anything AND they are completely coral safe.

I have a watch man goby and pistol shrimp pair I had them in my 10 gallon until I upgraded to a 90 as long as u got the shrimp the watch man will have a home shrimp moves huge amounts of sand I have a deep sand bed with mixed substrate half hawian black half fine white and they have no problem in easy. I have even seen the watchmen goby sand sifting in the black which is considerably coarser all and all great pair shrimp pokes his head out all the time and mine has grown considerably along with the watch men I even have a clown to and he doesn't bother him(clarki clown btw)

Even though you have 120 gallons, 4' is not enough swimming room for most if not all tangs imo. You are very safe adding some smallish gobies as your next fish. Perhaps a firefish. Also, a royal gramma is a great colorful starter fish. There are many gobies that will pair with shrimp. Go take a look on liveaquaria. Good luck.

Also, as you're stocking, think about having fish that will occupy different areas of your tank. That will help you maximize your tank. Get some substrate dwellers, free swimmers, perchers, etc. And make sure their temperments and needs are compatible. Cheers.

I would concur with this list except for the rabbits, which get pretty big for a 4" tank (especially the goldspotted rabbit, which has a maximum adult size of 16").

I will eventully get a tang, but realize that my selection for a 4 foot tank is small. The stickies say tomini and kole's are ok, as well as a few others, Yellows are boarderline, but I have to avoid most of the biggies and well known.

I will eventually get a dwarf angel also, most likely a coral beuty or maybe a flame angel. I know they are slightly risky when i start to add coral, but mny people seem to have success with them.

You will love a Red Flame Hawk - mine gets along with all, very entertaining. Seems to watch you as you walk by the tank. Great red color.
