Looking for.......

Tell him to lok for an' ALL yellow mantis' at his supplier. The only all yellow mantis he will find will be pseudosquilla ciliata. They get to about 4 inches. Excellent pet. Gondactylus describes them in the previous thread, "Spearers". Good luck.

You are correct that yellow P. ciliata frequently show up in LFS, but there are several other species of stomatopod that can also be yellow or orange. For example, Gonodactylaceus glabrous has a yellow/orange female morph as do a few other species in this genus. Neogonodactylus bahiahondensis can also be yellow. Still, if it is yellow, 99 times out of a hundred, it will be a P. ciliata.
