the marine velvet in the 30G is gone. The reef tank had been without fish for about two months, in hopes that the disease would die off. Then I added a "test" 2 inch doctor fish. It has been doing well for a week so far; no glancing off the rocks, heavy breathing, spots or discoloration. I have had this fish alone in a 3G for about 5 weeks.
I must admit though, the reef appeared to thrive and flourish well (it seems) without extra critters around. The only down-side, I didn't realize just how much of a stellar job the tangs were doing; algae has begun to poke through in different places where it was not before.....oh well.
