Lost all fish..empty tank syndrome

If all conditions were right what would you buy. The lion or puffer? AND why. Pros and Cons. Lost all my fish earlier this week and am suffering empty tank syndrome:sad2:

Have you determined why you lost those fish? Definitely don't go buy something if you don't know why the last set didn't make it. I have always wanted a lion so my vote is over there!

Power was off. This morning found a Blenny and one banggai he doesn’t look like he will be here long

Sorry to hear. If the tank size permits, I would go with a puffer. More personality!

Same, plus they'll be more apt to eat frozen food. Remember, many species get really big. Porcupine puffers turn into swimming footballs...and that's when they're relaxed

No Puffers are definatly NOT a reef friendly fish. They do well in a FOWLR sys.

Thanks for reply I definitely know I can't have either one. I love my coral and I guess it is going to be a long time to get back to where I am happy. I hate the thought of QT tanks on my counter tops for the next ????????????? Thanks again

I would also avoid lions in a reef. They're really messy fish and need a lot of room to move around. A mature lion takes A LOT of room when it moves around. It also makes a lot of waste.

I think you're on the right track when you skip both of these fish in favor of your coral.
