LPS tank need lots of flow, what you guys running?

When ever flow comes up in conversation, it seems one can never have enough. I personally have a very low flow tank for my zoos and lps.

What are my fellow lps keepers doing? Do you run high flow? I am using a eheim 1250 for return and two maxijet 1200 on my 125 gallon. Most people i talk to tell me to upgrade to those huge ugly tunze streams , but don't think my lps would like all that flow, or would they?

I run 2 hydor #4 on my 90 plus about 600 gph from my return. total 3000 gph for each of my 90 gal. I have duncans, acans, fungia, mycedium, enchinophillia, frogspawn, zoanthids (lots) hairy mushrooms and yumas.

I was running 2 tunze 6100s, a mag 9 return, a velocity T4 on a closed loop on my 125. It was good flow but I would have liked more. Tank was 125g. All the lps loved it (mostly acans and favia, although the torch, fungia, blastos all liked it too).

Interesting, i'm going to have to borrow my friends tunze 6100 and give it a try.

The LPS seem to appreciate the flow as long as they aren't directly in the water path close to the pump.

I was running the 2x6100s on a controller, so it wasn't both full blast nonstop. I did run them pretty high. Tank was barebottom.

I'm with you on the low end of the spectrum.

I have a mag7 for a return and 2 Maxijet 1200's running on a ACJr for surge in a 75 gallon tank.

I keep a lot of Euphylias, Cyanaria, Blasotos, acans and a bubble.

Also have some caps and millis that are doing fine, but they get blasted by one of the MJ's.

I'm upgrading to a 180 and plan on a Mag18 for a return, doubling the MJ 1200's to 4 and I think I'll up the flow with a Koralia 3 or 4.

I have a 75 gal. softie/lps tank that i have 2 vortechs turned all the way down with an 8 bulb t5 tek light.

I also have A 120 sps/lps that I have 2 vortechs turned all the way down on also except that tank currently has 2 - 250 watt mh's and 2 - 110 watt vho actinics. Both tanks the corals seem happy and growing.

I got a dolphin 3000 GPH on a closed loop system in my 180 gallon tank. The output comes out of 2 sea swirls and two other pipes that split into Ys at the end. Perfect circulation...
