Macro algae and Sea Hare?

I have different kind of caulerpera in my tank. Was thinking of getting a sea hare to control some hairy algae. Do you know if sea hares will eat my caulerpera? I don't mind it eating the macros but I want them to focus on the hairy algae. Any thoughts?

I don't know, since I don't have a sea hare, but the aquarium store where I saw eight sea hares has no macro algae at all in any of the tanks containing the sea hares...

It depends what species of sea hare you get. There are about 50 or so species. Some like Aplysia would love to eat macro while others won't touch it.

Mine loves it but I don't know what species it is. It is the "hairer type" that people says is better.
