Caulerpa racemosa, variant 'peltata'

not bad, an excellent nutrient exporter, but prone to grow
where ever it wants. it can grow an inch a day.

all caulerpa algae and most algae for that matter can
go sexual, even chaeto. caulerpa will do it more readily,
but as long as all the algae can get light and it has a food
source, it shouldn't go sexual. basically all that means is
trim it regularly and feed the fish and it should do fine.
you may want to isolate it though, as many people dislike
it overgrowing their reef.

This one actually might be right inbetween peltata - which looks like mushrooms.. and the other variant I see from time to time.. suction cup caulerpa (which I dont think has a recognized latin name at this time). Your little uprights look like they are somewhat concave. If its suction cup, its rumored to be a little more delicate than peltata.

I think all reefs should have a little macro going on, its perfectly natural to see half coral and half macro in the wild. But, as Rick says, keep it trimmed. And grab all the little peices from trimming.. even a small segment can and will resettle and establish its own colony.
