Sorry for the poor photo its the best I could do without a MACRO lens. (drum roll please):D

Can anyone ID it for me please? It has a very rubbery feel to it almost as if filled with gelatin. It is not laterally flattened but round. It is growing from the base of a red Trachyphyllia open brain coral.
 
.....or they simply come from the same habitat and are both fairly common.....Nice to have a conversation with yourself sometimes. Hell you even learn something once in awhile.;)
 
Just so ya don't get lonely talking to yourself... ;)

I have had this growing in successive tanks with and without open brains. Never grew near my brain.

Its a kinda cool algae and does not have strong attachment points on the rock to its easy to manage.
