Magnetek Ballast Question

I've got this magnetek ballast plus the diy pendent w/ bulb (may be burnt out). The model is #1110-245SC-TC, 175w M75.
I'm wondering if anyone else here is using this type of ballast and if so, what do you think of it?? I got it in a trade and was pondering redoing the wiring and potentially using it in my big (75g) tank whenever I get it. Just wondering if its worth the effort or if I should just trade/sell it later?? Just b/c it is set up as a pendent right now doesn't mean that I can't change the setup, right?
Oh, and I was reading the sticky on mh ballast and just was wondering how I can tell if I'm buying the correct bulb for it??

What did the previous owner run on the ballast?? What did they claim could be run on it??

I did a search and found these threads regarding the M75 ballast. I have used an M57 (not 75) on a previuos tank to run a single 250w metal halide (worked very well with the XM250w 10k bulb). The last thread mixed up the 57 and 75 numbers so be mindful when reading it.
