I can tell you that they are quite different from each other. The OM is a motorized diverter valve, and the Red Sea is a switching device. It all depends on what you want in the tank, or have on hand to use.
Right now I'm in the process of upgrading to a 300. So I can go either way.
If I go OM I would have to buy a pump to go with it.
If I go wave master then I have to buy the pumps & the wave master.
I would need 3 or 4 pumps depending on my design for water circulation and what I can get passed my wife.
I plan on buying "everything" on Ebay except for the OM.
