I'm an idiot.
Now that we have that out of the way...I had a tiny mantis in a breeder box/fuge/coral frag holder that hangs on the inside of the tank. Long story made short is that I added the box while my tank was low so when I topped it off the water covered the rim of the box and I'm suspecting Mr. Mantis escaped.
My dilemma is that of most reef keepers trying to locate a barely 1" mantis in a tank full of rock, inverts, fish, and in particular two pistol shrimp. I can't tell if the clicking is coming from one of them or the mantis.
How do I trap him without catching my vibex who seem to be curious and hungry for anything I put in the tank
Thanks!
