mantle question

I am curious, I have a small 1.5" ultra maxima that was looking awesome for the longest time, but recently has pulled in it's mantle and is having very little extension the last few weeks....Can anyone out there give me some ideas what can cause this? My levels all test out fine, I haven't changed anything lately, and my crocea is perfect as always...No noticeable gapping in the shell, and foot is fine...Ideas would be appreciated...thanks
