Marine Snow and Gorgonian feeding?

I recently picked up a photosynthetic gorgonian (Muriceopsis flavida, i believe) it is almost always completely open and ready to be fed, I have been feeding it frozen cyclops and it appears to be feeding, it looks as if the polyps are grabbing the food pushing it inside of themselves then opening again relatively fast. My question is two fold: is the gorgonian feeding, because it is quite fast, and is marine snow a good product to use or is it just bottled detritus?

Marine snow is pretty much just water. I'd stick to a phytoplankton project like DT's, and food items like the Cyclop-Eeze and Golden Pearls. Knowing the actual prey size for the animal would be useful, but I have no idea what that is.
