MarksReef's 93G Rimless Cube Build

I decided to start reefing again after a long time away and have almost finished the stand. Ok most of the way threw. I still have the trim, doors, and stain.
The tank will be 30X30X24 and Rimless. The stand will have a 3 1/2 ledge around it and is 36 inches tall with 2 doors.
All I can find to order is the Marineland and it comes with the corner overflow.
The spot it will be in will be 3 side viewable so I don't want that. The only other option is DRILL and that scares me since Ive never done it and a new tank isn't cheap...
If I do go that way at least it won't be that long overflow box. I was thinking going Glass-Holes and 2 drilled returns. 4 attempts to mess up :eek1:

Bring it over and we can poke some holes in it eazy peazy! Good to see you back in.
Thanks.
I wish I could toss it in my trunk and have you do it but I think I'm ready to give it a shot. First time drilling and it will be 4 holes (2 returns too)

Also, if anyone had suggestions for a return-pump(insump) for this set-up? It is the 1500 G.P.H. overflow but what do you think I should have running threw it ?

The dc pumps seem to be the money saving pumps these days: I dont know about their longevity or noise level, but the don't use nearly as many watts and have multiple setting.

quiet one 2200 or 3000 are good return pumps. Ehiem 1260 should be good - I tried a 1262 on mine and that is just way too much.

if you want to go DC I'm using a Tunze 1073.05 controlled by an apex system. I will say it is not aq quiet as the eheim, it is however half the size

Check out the dc pumps from fish-street.com lots of people have been using them and they had good reviews. Plus there wp wave pumps have been solid too so they should be great to. I think they are only like $100

I'm pulsing from 50 to 70% with it. I will say the pump got tipped up and is hitting the glass which is amplifying the sound. it's probably more noticeable because I have it pulsing. as soon as I get my tubing cutters back I'll flatten out the pump

Really impressive build. I looked over at the main thread but didn't see it mentioned (or maybe I missed it), but is that a marineland tank? I really like the size. Excellent work on the custom stand as well.
