Just wanted to find out which fellow club members are also going to the Bay Area Coral Farmers Market on June 25th. $40 is really a bargain to be able to attend this thing. If you get the advance ticketsfor $15, than it's a steal.

I'll be going, but how do you get the advanced tickets...I know they are offering this to BAR members....I should have bought my ticker durring the WMC, but I still wasn't sure if I was going back then.

I just checked the flyer, and it says the $15 price is available online up until 5/25. After that, it's $30. On 6/25, it'll be $40 at the door.

I was wondering if they will give us a discount like they gave BAR. I think BAR member can purchase tickets for $15 up until 6/15.

Last day for BAR discount is June 10,2005 for BAR Members. They gave us the extended date discount because we have a booth at the BACFM event.

$40 just to get in the door to have the opportunity to spend more money...hmmmmm...it might be cheaper to just have them ship my frag to me. With gas it's looking like $70 just to get in...no speaker..no free lunch...I'm not sure about this anymore..

In your case, David, it might not be worth it at $40. Only because you're basically stocked, and probably won't be doing much shopping. You're just going to be picking up something from jendub, right?

If you are looking to stock up, than this 'one-stop-shop' opportunity would be well worth it.

If you're chummy with a BAR member, maybe they can hook you up with a $15 ticket.

I just remebered I told a couple of the Bay area guys who wanted to get a few of my frags that I would bring them down to the market...so I guess I'm locked in now...At least the majority of my expenses for this will already be paid for from the stuff I'm selling off out of my tank. Who knows a couple of my frags may be in the market...I haven't had any interest in the two blue bali frags I put up, so I may see if John wants them for his booth.

I'm going mainly to hang with Max and his Zero-Edge tank (drool), and some of the boys from BAR! Should be cool even if I don't spend a dime, but that's probably an excercise in futility.

Im kinda hung up on the 80 bucks just to get through the door myself ($40 ticket, $40 roundtrip)

Having been the first SoCal Farmers show, I can say it was awesome. There were so many rare corals to choose from. The only problem was the room was too small with way too many people

This should be a great show, and I'm going, although I'm not a MARS member, hopefully there will be as many vendors as last time.

If you decide to go, be prepared to spend some serious $, because if you're looking for something rare, most likely it'll be there!

I'll just have to see how the hands fare...and I'm with Rich, I'd be going primarily to socialize with people I don't get to see very often. Off course if that certain coral catches my eye then it's game on.

Cool...I really want to ask a BAR member for tickets, but I can't in good faith, so we need to get online soon and get the cheaper tickets...I'll be kicking myself for not getting them at the WMC for weeks now...
