haha

I was up visiting my sister and wondering how you guy's big ol' tank was doing... Sounds likes everything is well! If i am up that way again which with my sister up there i am sure i will be sometime, i wouldn't mind saying hi...
The tank here is well-- i haven't been around a lot and last fall it had a mini crash but has recovered nicely since then... Not 100% sure why, the fish had been removed and got 8 weeks of ick treatment, and were added slowly back minus a couple from qt who stopped eating... that sucked to watch-- i tried everything
Then soon after problems arose with some corals... My "mother of all clams" didn't make it when i introduced what i think was pinched mantle with a new clam purchase...
i have had a hard learning curve--but stubburn or stupid enough to stick with it...
so now i am on strict QT of everything procedure and all is well.
On a bright note, xenia grows now -- although it is the slowest growing coral in the tank-- it's like mutated into slug xenia-- weird...
i tried like 3 or 4 frags of different types from Wynne, and Dawn, and you guys but no real success but ever since this crash one small piece has hung on and grown-- very slowly-- but it pulses and seems healthy-- just a determined little runt i guess...
maybe i'll try another type again with this marginal success. story....
my mushrooms multiply but still hate the tek light and stay mostly shriveled unless totally shaded... Glad that nice mushroom rock found a good home. They didn't like me

The light is bright as i have bleached a few corals, including some digita and monitpora, by rushing acclimation to it.
As for the pump-- i have had it about two months-- no problems with it... It's the cheapest and best thing i have put in the tank. If you look how they are made--not much to go wrong...The magnet mount i made and was easy, the trick is getting to mount angled... not hard to do though.
