Your tank is amazing.

Is this one a milli or a prostrata?

Wow thats a nice pink lemonade! Very thick branches, I usually seem them with very thin branches.

Well, all the drywall is up, here are a couple more pictures of the reno and then to the good stuff, the coral pics. All the electrical is also done, no pictures of it yet. Have since all cleaned up and disposed of the cut-offs.

I was going to throw some zoa and paly pics in as well, but decided to put them in the appropriate forum.

I gotta show you this one cyphastrea though (think it is a cyphastrea, not sure though, it is a new coral).

Just one sec...

enough already

Very nice! I got to go back and read your TOTM article. Your doing something right and should be commended.

Outrageous colors especially the pinks!!

What is your secret at keeping them pink?

Do they prefer a certain distance from the 20K bulbs or VHO?

Do they prefer high, moderate, low flow?

Thanks

Thanks. Well much has changed since the TOTM days...I have a lot more fish now (and feed them more), and I have alot more flow as some of the corals I have a quite large. I also dose Mg to assist in maintaining calcium and promoting growth.

Ah come on, generally speaking it is the same old stuff every update. Then they are still alive and colourful so that is something!

you're killing me....

Thanks. The colors in the corals are a little darker now then in years past due to having more fish and feeding them. Other than than not a lot has changed except I added more flow. All other equipment has stayed the same.

Wow, I remember reading the original TOTM article. Now, you're tank's even better!!

Thanks. No secret with the pinks. I think it has a lot to due with the coral itself if it stays really pink, not easy to find a good one. This is even more true with purples. The pinks I have are generally in medium light under the 400W halides, up top under indirect light. Moderate to high flow in my tank.

250G, did you pick up the cyphastrea at Reef Raft, I'm sure that I saw a few pieces of this one there yesterday?

Correct me if I am wrong, does it also have the street name of "Meteor Shower " ? I remember seeing a few frags similar to this last year for sale on a local board that I won't mention.

Oh, and an amazing tank you have there; truly an inspiration to local reefers and many reefers worldwide.

Thanks Adam. Next time you plan on getting into the GTA just let me know, would be more than happy to put something together for you.

250G,

Still interested in putting together a pack? I have some favourites from your photos, I'd to get some price estimates.

Send me a PM if you aren't too busy?

Adam

I did, likely the same piece. This is not the Metero Shower however, the Meteor whower has a torquoise base with pink polyps. I will try and get a pic for you, I have a massice colony.

And thanks. Hopefully the pics and info I post are useful to those that come across the info.

Thanks, and pretty happy with the tank for August, specially with all the other work going on in the basement.

Stunning! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hey Adam. Not looking to sell any frags at the moment, maybe in another month or so. Need to focus on finishing the basement (taping the drywall starts today), then comes the paint, carpet and finish carpentry. Once fall rolls around I should have some available if you are still intersted. Thanks.
