Mega flow sump filter

I have a perfecto 55 gallon reefready tank. I was looking to purchase the sump with the bioball. I think mega flow makes it. Wheres the cheapest place to get them. Also how many GPH should I get. Will 600 be enough

MegaFlow is a product of allglass/oceanic. i think it has the aga logo on it...
a magdive will probably be about 550gph at the head, that is good

A mag-drive 7 will give you adout 440 gph with a 4' head(not counting bends and valve restrictions). I run a 7 on my 55 and have plenty of flow. 440 gph will turn over about 8 times the tank volume in an hour. 7 to 8 times turn over is recomended for most reefs setups.

I would avoid the stupid bio balls. They just end up being a nitrate factory and you will end up wanting to remove them later. I just removed mine about a week ago and have already seen that my nitrates do not rise nearly as fast as they used to. If you are planning to make a reef and and put like 70-100lbs of rock than the rock will harbor a large enough amount of bacteria to convert ammonia and nitrite. I would get a large refugium and fill it with cheato instead.
