melanurus wrasse qt?

I've read that melanurus wrasses sleep in the sand. Do I need sand in the quarantine tank for them? Is it a must? I have a young juvenile/ female melanurus wrasse coming in Tuesday and I need advice

....I think your wrasse should be fine in QT as long you have a piece of white PVC plumbing tube or two for it to hide and de-stress......

I quarantined my melanarus wrasse by putting a bowl of sand in the QT. It took him next to no time to figure out the sand was for him. It was a successful quarantine.

+1 I'll also add that most Halichoeres spp. are much easier to QT than fairy/flasher wrasses, and tolerate copper, prazi, and other meds well.
