Mg Level

I tested my mg and it reads 1200. Should it be higher? What would be the result of a lower level of mg? Thanks!

Low magnesium makes abiotic precipitation of calcium carbonate on heaters, pumps, etc. faster, making it harder to maintain calcium and alkalinity, especially if the pH is also on the high side.

I recommend magnesium to be 1250 to 1350 ppm,so I'd boost it with MG flake or a commercial supplement from Kent or ESV. For this small of a correction once, you can likely just use Epsom salts from the grocery store.
