MH Hood?

I want to get MHs for my 29 gallon tank so I can make it a reef. I think suspending lights over the tank with wires or arms looks bad. it hurts my eyes to look at the tank because the bright light escapes all over the room. I wanted to know if it is possible to find a MH hood kit that would fit completely around the tank like a canopy. Any ideas?

You can make your own or have one mae for you. Otherwise I dont know of any that are tall enough to keep halides in.

Check Marine Depot for sizes of hoods...
A pendant light should not be that bad, there are different types. Just remember, putting the MH directly over the tank (right down on top) may not be the best, and will transfer mega amounts of heat. I have a hood on my 75g, and even it is 12" off the water line.

For a 29g, you may want to look at some nice PowerCompact of VHO hoods as well. Just an option.
