mh lamp position

I have about 12 250w fixtures that have nice reflectors but they are called up lights (light is in a box that sits on floor) the reflectors are a cone style with the lamp in the center can I flip these light upside down and will aquarium lamps work this way? Thanks Ben

did you have to buy lamps that that are made to work vertical to horizontal ?

my fixtures had horizontal mounts and ballasts were internal. HEAVY!

these are vertical lamp position fixtures so will sw lamps work in these?

you'll need to research the particular halide lamps you plan on using. With some types it makes a difference and with others it does not.
