Hi, I got a nice colony of micromussa a couple days ago but it doesn't seem to be acclimated yet. I put it in low light in my qt tank but half of the polyps have the skeletons exposed on the rims. Is this normal? What should I do to remedy this? I also got an acan. lord. but it acclimated really quickly and started eating voraciously after a day or two. I am very worried about my micromussa. Thank you in advance for you help.

Don't worry it will be fine in a few days. Just leave it near the bottom with low to med flow and it will adjust in a few days. Read my thread of my Pink Lemonade Micro. It was in far worst condition than that and it's doing good now. I now have 4 polyps of it and it's only been a few weeks.
Wow I just looked at your thread and it gave me a lot of hope. I was really worried because there was a patch of skeleton (not in the pic) that had clearly been alive not too long ago and it looked like the the flesh was decaying around it and the area seeme dot be getting worse. I panicked because I spent a fortune on the piece (I have never spent so much on a single coral before) so I fragged it into three pieces to get rid of the dead area and I put one frag in my other tank. The picture is of one frag only in the qt tank but I think the frag in my other tank is doing a lot better. Should I move them all into that tank or just wait? Thank you so much for the help.

I say just let it be. I didn't bother it for a few days. I need to post a update pic. It's now very fluffy and big.

Yup go for it. It won't affect them that much since it's a quick move. I take mine out of the water for like 3-4 mins when i'm fragging with no problems
