Midwest reefer possibly relocating to Sac area

Isn't the city of Vacaville going to file Bankruptcy as a city, just like vallejo did right down the freeway?

I kind of like my "ghetto" in East Sacramento

not that i know of, vacaville isn't half as bad as vallejo or fairfield.

vacaville you can atleast leave your doors unlocked or go for a walk across town at night with pretty much no worries at all.

you couldn't pay me $100 to walk a mile in fairfield or vallejo at night

side note : if you google "vacaville bankrupt" the first hit is titled "Which parts of Vallejo are the most dangerous"

You guys are funny. I grew up in the ghetto in San Diego. I have plenty of friends that
never made it to there 18th Birthday. I've been shot at and everything. Then I moved to
Phoenix Arizona for 4 years 5 summers. I been out here in Sac for almost 2 years now.
There really isn't no ghetto in Sacramento. There are a few lousy neighborhoods but that's
about it. As far as heat goes yeah it barely gets over 100 here. I love it. I am used to 118
Degrees for over a month with a low of 101. So this is great. I moved to Rio Linda and I
like it. Nice and quiet. I would suggest that you just come out here and drive around.

Thanks for the reassurance, I realize every city has it's less than desirable parts. I used to live in KC and there are certainly areas that I would not want to go.

As for climate, I welcome the change from what I have know. My winters are cold with ice storms and summers are high nineties with 70 percent humidity.

If you have younger children, Davis is a great town to raise a family. It has a great school system. There are a lot of children activities. The town is relatively safe. It's bike friendly.

Is you're single - it's a horrible town since there's nothing to do here. :D

LoL @ Sac. Co. and Placer county being called Ghetto.
I'm from the Bay Area I came to Placer Co. (Loomis) in Aug. of 1999.
There is nothing here in Sac Co or Placer Co that's even close to East Palo Alto heck the police don't even want to patrol there all in all Sac. co. and Placer Co. has something to offer to every walk of life weather is good I think a 2 week vacation to run around the area and you will find a place you like.
Anyone that I ever met from the Mid West or East coast that come here say they will never leave  California

I gotta say, and in no way am I trying to dis VacavilleFC3S, but I would live in just about any city in the Sacramento region before I lived anywhere near Vacaville (and I live in Yuba City, so that's saying a lot). My top three areas would be Rocklin, Roseville, and Folsom.

As far as certain regions within Sacramento being "ghetto", I think that some of the Pocket and Florin areas come pretty darn close to earning that designation.
