Mixing 180 gal saltwater

Ok.... I am about to start up my 180 gal.....BUT..... What is the best way to mix up 180 gal of saltwater. Inside the tank (it is empty) or in a 55 gal plastic drum (which i have to go buy)?

Just mix it in the tank before you add anything. It's what I've done with all my new tanks and have never had any problems.

Cool... let me see if I have this right. Have the heater and the powerhead running when mixing, let it mix for 24 hours?

what's the room temp of your house, if its already around 76 or higher why use the heater and waste electricity, mix it by hand stirring briskly then let the powerheads circulate it overnight, make sure you check your salinity with a hydrometer or refracto-meter
