Mixing Angels

I currently have a joculator and a hawaiin flame angel in my 210 FOWLR and would really like to add either a juvenile scribbled or goldflake angel. My flame angel is approximatley 3.75" and the joculator is about the same size and my concern is that if i add a smaller juvenile angel into the mix that I may have issues. I know the issues are usually only between members of the Centropyge genus but I would like to hear people's thoughts on the topic. Thanks in advance.

with a 210 you may be ok since the others are smaller angels, i would use an acclimation box if you try it - that way you can easily remove the fish if the others are acting extremely agressive towards it.

IMO & IME; the worry about mixing Centropyge Angels is overblown; assuming they have enough room. (A real key, IMO.) There is always some pecking order stuff and sometimes it doesn't work, so have a plan "B". I've thought for a long time that Centropyges were great examples of ''its the individual fish" syndrome. Some of them hate every other fish, some pay no attention to others. If they all have enough room to have their own space and hiding spot, I THINK they'll be OK. How far you let the initial pecking order squabbles is just a judgement call. Be sure to use a QT. (Always) Dwarf Angels can be tough to treat for parasites.

Coming from someone that has 10 angels currently in my 220. It can be done but I would only try it by placing any new angels in an acclimation box first.

With a 210g you should have problem adding angels whether small or large but like others have said use a acclimating container for social intro.

Take a look at this thread where you will see mix angels: Large Angel Tanks
