Mixing Macros

I have a 55 gal tank w/33 gal sump. I want to put Turtle Grass in the sump creating a refugium. My refug dimensions would be 9"wx12"lx12"h. I would also like to have Manatee Grass in the main tank with a small bunch of chaeto behind the live rock. I have a 6" DSB in both the main tank and the refugium.

Are there any problems mixing these while having a FOWLR tank? I have aspiration to add corals and anemones as I learn more - probably a year or so down the road.

The chaeto probably won't stay put for you. Otherwise there is no problem with that mix.

Is there anyway to keep it stationary in the tank? I was thinking maybe wedging it in a crevice between some LR. Maybe it's best not to have it in the main tank at all. Any problems if Chaeto and Turtle Grass are together in the sump/refugium?

As the chaet grows, it'll end up blowing around. Even if wedged in a crevice. Same will happen if mixed in with turlte grass in the sump/refugium. However, there it won't be bother like it would be in the tank ;)
