Here is my tank. It has been running since the end of November or early December. I had started out thinking it was going to be a FOWLR and then I changed my mind. Here is a quick list of what is in there now.

Here was my inspiration for so many clowns, thanks for the great thread and info mobert: 27 clowns in the same tank 27 months~Thread of the Month - Reef Central Online Community

Good luck!

Good luck!

Cool TommyB. Looks great. Good luck with it!
Where did you get the Ocellaris? Are they all from the same clutch?

Hopefully this works out for you.
It's a little rushed IMO, especially for the nems, and I hope your original B&W's don't cause a problem.
Keep us posted w/ pics.

Great Tank...wonderfull RBTA and clowns... but Quadricolor isn't the best-loved nem for ocellaris... or have i missed something???

Awesome tank. Btw you should sell me one of those RBTS :P

Thanks, if they ever split I will sell some of them off.

Beautiful tank and clowns.

Thanks!

Most of the rock came from prior systems so there is quite a bit of diversity in there. I know I should have waited a couple more months but so far ao good.

I will be keeping my eyes on the B&Ws for sure. As of now they are just schooling with the rest of them and this is the first time I have seen them moving around in the tank. They used to just stay to the left side and not move. If they start picking on the oranges I will yank these.

I will keep this thread updated.

I have had good luck in the past with Occys and BTAs. So far only 4 of them are hosting but I would say that is pretty good considering they were just put in yesterday.

Thanks to everyone for the comments so far. Obviously this is not something everyone should try but with this big of tank and my experience I think it can be done. Worst case scenerio I have to rehome some of them and try something new.

Very ambitious endevor. I am keeping my fingers crossed that those black and white don't get aggressive towards the smaller clowns. I will be following along, can't wait to see more photos. You did a great job on the tank, it's beautiful.

You must not have crossed them hard enough. ;) The school of oranges moved from their location to the part of the tank that the B&Ws usually hang out. This made one of them mad and he kept chasing the oranges so I pulled the B&Ws out last night and sold them locally. I think that eventually they would have worked it out for awhile but eventually when the B&Ws matured I am sure there would have been problems. I decided instead of stressing out the oranges I would just get rid of the B&Ws.

I will get some more pics up this weekend. Thanks for the compliments.

So sorry :lolspin: Funny you should say that, I have a bad cut on one of my fingers, crossed them too gently.
You made a wise decision. The contrast of the orange/black was striking but not worth the possible cost. I just added a green bta to my tank w/4 roses. A green bta or 2 would look great in your tank too. I will be eagerly waiting for more photos.

I have been keeping my eye out for one. I would like to find a nice group price on 5-10 of them like I did for the roses. 10 Roses for $300 shipped was nice.

Very nice, it is going to be amazing once your rbta's settle in and grow out. I like it that the bta's are in the middle of the tank and not to one side of it.

It may just be me, but it looks like the sides of your tank is getting no light?

It is not just you, it is a 6 foot fixture on an 8 foot tank. I have a couple 250 de mh pendants that I will be adding. That is also why I picked the middle island for the nems since it receives the most light.
