My montastrea is losing tissue between the polyps, and the centers don't look good on one side either. I have SPS, plate, derasa clam, mushrooms and frogspawn, all of which are doing great in my tank.

salinity 1.023
ca 420
NH4 O
n02 O
N03 <10
DKH 8ish
PO4 acceptable (salifert) (i'm typing from work, can't remember number)

72gal bowfront
feed DT oyster eggs bidaily
tunze 6100 &2 MJ 1200 flows
390 watts of PC and sunpod 150w HQI

I read they need a lot of light so I put it under the HQI at the bottom of the tank. Do you think maybe the flow I have in the tank, is too high for this particular specimen? is there anything I can do to prevent the final melting stage of tissue necrosis? Is it a goner?

from experience montastreas don't need much light at all, I'd try placing it in the shade and seeing if it survives, do you have any pics?
