I would love to get a macro lens for my wife's Rebel xti, but money is tight. Amazing pictures though!!

I would too. For right now I'm using a 70-200 F4L zoom with a 1.4 converter and standing about 6 feet away. Works OK, but doesn't let enough light in to freeze moving fish, etc.
