Motor for power head

Hey guys, I have recently taken on the task of building my own power head. I plan to build it out of mostly pvc. I was wondering if someone could recommend a few things to me.

1) I want to know of a good motor that can be speed controlled. It will not be exposed to water due to its water tight housing. It would be the best if I could simply plug it into my wall socket. Where can I buy it.

2) What kind of shaft should I use in my design and where can I buy it?

3) What is the best kind of propeller and where can I buy it?

I would suggest a grounding probe for your tank. Your going to need it.
