I recently moved and since setting up my new network I can no longer connect to the APEX. Previously my internal network was 192.168.2.xxx witht he apex being 2.211.

My new network is 192.168.1.xxx range. My router is 192.168.1.1 with the DNS and DHCP of course being the same address.
I have tried having the APEX get its IP via DHCP but that does not seem to work. I have configured it like this
IP address of 192.168.1.211
Netmask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - 192.168.1.1
ALT DNS - 0.0.0.0 (I also tried 192.168.1.1)
http port is 80.

My PC address is
192.168.1.59 (via DHCP)
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - 192.168.1.1

I am using an ASUS Dark Knight RT-N66U Router and because the APEX is on the other side of the house I am using two openmesh OM2P access points to create a wireless bridge. The first OM2P is connected the ASUS Router via Ethernet Cable and the other one is bridged to it in the control panel and is then wired via ethernet to the APEX. I have tried connecting my PC to the cable from the OM2P in the fish room and I am able to connect to the internet and can get my IP address assigned via DHCP so this means the network is working to that point.
I have the Yellow and Green lights on the APEX when the ethernet cable is plugged in.
I am unable to ping the APEX, unable to telnet to it, unable to see it int he connected devices on the network map within the ASUS and am of course unable to access it using the APEX app on my phone nor in a web browser using http://apex or http://apex:80 or http://192.168.1.211 or http://192.168.1.211:80

I am completely lost here, I have no idea what else to try any help is appreciated.

If you "hard set" your ip on your apex then it is on a different subnet than your new network.

simply change the ip on your computer to the old subnet.
ip
192.168.2.XXX something other than the apex
gateway
192.168.2.1
subnet mask 255.255.255.0

during this time your computer will not be able to access the internet.
login to your apex.... reset the ip settings to a desired ip or dhcp.

reset your computer ip settings.

Hello i to have the same problem but my lack of access started from a power outtage the nite before,(maybe) my numbers are the same as DC's , tryed typing the ip of the apex into the browser, no luck, i cant find my setup in the apex display even, it's as if it had reset itself, i found out by my chiller going non stop killing some things while i was at work, but the chiller didn't come on til after i left for work the next day, so the power outtage could just be a coincidence, the lites are on (yellow and green)at the apex module where the cat5 connects, thx

DC_addict,

I must of hastily replied to your first post. I can see that you must have used your computer to set the IP. The only thing I can think of is that your access points are set up so that the remote one is actually connecting to the other like the first is an internet source, therefore your network my be "double NATing"

You say that your computer can get an IP via dhcp but the apex does not. Are you able to connect both the APEX and the computer on the far end of the network? If so can you connect to your APEX from there

I would plug my apex into the regular network and get it communicating and then move it to the far end. Deal with one problem at a time. Remove some variables.
