I live like 2-3 miles away from where your moving too, a bit South/East on Baypointe Dr.
I think this area is great your centralized between Tampa, St.Pete, and Clearwater.Close to the Bay, Oldsmar has a lot of new development going on Super Target opens in October, nice Super Walmart few more miles West, plenty of grocery stores. International, Westshore, and Citrus malls about 5-10 miles away. Right in between two good Aquarium Stores. The Florida Aquarium is also very close http://www.flaquarium.org/. Lot of great resturants in Tampa. Close to the Veterans(suncoast) expressway and 275.
Your right off a main road Hillsborough so depending on where your working it's a high traffice area between 7-9am going to Tampa and 4-6pm leaving Tampa (it's not really that bad though).
Oh yeah got out of the Marine Corps in '03

! Seriously though, there are more people from Ohio that live in Tampa than any other state!! But I don't mind because most of you guys are pretty laid back.

We have good fishing, good boating, good nightlife, great food, and great weather(most of the time), great reefers and the best football team ever(ducks for cover)!!

You are going to be really happy here and I got my euroreef for less than any other place even internet. (I called lots of places). And if you have questions John is very helpful .. you can decide yourself when you are here.

john doesnt like to help, he told me to read a book and than ask him questions, dont seem much helpful to me, more like he has priority on people that spend the big $$$$$$$$$

That is funny. John is always helpful. Maybe his advise was honest and helpful. When it comes to Marine aquariums, it is a REAL GOOD idea to sit down with a couple good books and read up on what you are getting into long before you buy that pretty glass tank. One thing that does is call a spade a spade, if you are coming across as someone that knows nothing about the hobby, you can expect to be sent out of the store with nothing but a book. Read the book, then come back and talk about setting up a tank.
Most stores do the opposite, sell you tank, sand, rock, pumps, lights and fish and send you home. Put it together and you have a saltwater tank.
Did you go home and read a book, or head up to holiday and buy your system?

i didnt get my system at holiday aquariums, i had before i even knew FAOIS or they existed...... i read for 2 yrs before starting, but it gets confusing when u read so much, so i just do what i feel like doing with my tank

this is soooo funny.i will say that johns prices are very fair on dry goods,all his pumps and lighting is inline with online prices(sometimes cheaper)and his livestock is always healthy.IMO best store in the area,cheaper isnt always better you get what you pay for.as far as not helping you out,maybe you approached him in the wrong way.john has never NOT been helpfull to me and always answers every question i ask.so i guess if you dont like him or his store then dont buy from him.BTW you sure have been pushing that other store alot,must be getting some kind of kickback.
