Right now I'm sitting in my motel room in Ogden, Utah trying to figure out what to do about my tanks (75 & 58). I'm originally from Colorado, so I am almost back home now. I was offered a substantial raise to move, so I gave my 2 week notice and hit the road last Thursday. I'm moving into a studio apt on Monday because it's a lot cheaper than continuing to stay in a motel.
The wife is still at our house in Hazelwood taking care of the 2 reef tanks and doing a good job so far (I've been gone a week). I hope our house can sell quickly so that we can buy another home soon and that I don't end up having to sell all of my live rock, sand and livestock if the house doesn't sell for a while.
If I do end up having to sell some stuff, I guess I could sell my fish and corals, maybe buy a 125, ship my rock and sand out here and not have to start from scratch. I have 120 lbs of Kaelini in my 75 and 80 lbs of some nice Indonesian rock with a variety of Macroalgaes and tons of bugs in the 58. There's about 250 lbs of CaribSea Oolitic in the 2 tanks.
Thing is there isn't one thing in my tanks that I would want to part with and I hope things will all come together so I don't have to sell anything. My son is in school until the end of May and we hope the house can sell by then so that they can move out here when school is over. Sure makes it a lot more complicated with my reef tanks in the picture.
All that said, it's nice to be back in the Rockies again.
