Murdered Mushroom?

I bought a tiny frag today with a small green mushroom. While I was transferring it and getting it settled, it seemed to vomit out some ropey, intestine-ish stuff. I've got it glued to a bit of live rock now, and it doesn't look so wonderful. Additionally, one of my xenias pulled itself in just afterwards.

Have I done something terrible?

The mushroom should be fine. It spits its insides out when it's stressed; just don't move it around too much. I have one for awhile that no matter how little I touch it when my hand is in the tank, it will spit that stuff out. Not sure about your xenias though, mebbe they're just sleeping? Xenias are pretty damn hardy so they'll probs open up again soon.

Thanks. I've seen that happen with other creatures before, but I didn't know mushrooms would do it.

The thing is quite settled, insides back to being insides again:

If you look closely, you can see the little red fan worm that came attached to the mushroom's frag. It's quite pretty on its own.

I got this one from Petland, a little shop in a strip mall in Athens, Georgia. I'd not thought to look for corals on Ebay, and I'm a little leery of shipping animals when there are a couple of sources here in town.

I know sometimes the glue will cause them to act a little funny but in a about a week they usually start doing better...
