Mushroom Crab

There is a small crab living in a piece of rock covered in mushrooms. I can't get an I.D. on him because he only ever sticks a leg or two out when I'm feeding. It may sound like a silly question, but are there any know crabs that are associated w/ mushrooms? Specifically common blue spotted shrooms. I almost seems as though he moved a few mushrooms in front of his hole and parts them when he wants to eat.

sometimes anenome crabs will host mushrooms also. Just a thought.

That sounds pretty darn cool. It sounds like it might be some kind of commensal crab that lives in shrooms. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you witness it doing something it shouldn't or if it gets large.

Fairly brightly colored too. It has bands of blue and red on its legs. Its smaller than a dime.
