In-A-Gadda-Divita!
Got a small green hairy mushroom abut two weeks ago, held him in a small suction on tank at he top of my 55g DT and sat him on some coral in the hope he would attach. After three days no attachment, so I super glued him to a flat piece of dead coral, gave him a few days in the hold tank and glued him and the rock to the lower part of the tank about 2" from the sand in a semi low flow area. He has been there about 5 days now and has expanded 5x in size and detached from where I super glued him and slid down halfway on the sand, don't know if he re-attached further down. I believe he is happy and healthy as he started out the size of a silver dollar and is now the unexpected size of a softball.
So with all that said...(long winded sorry) is he okay on the sand?
The Bristol worms have started to tunnel up under him, but don't appear to bother. The Blue Legged crabs stay away, but the Cleaner shrimp will jump on and clean.
