I think a background of some sort would make a big impact on the way it looks.

Its a nice setup but I'm going to have to agree with Unlikely_Hero. The items behind the tank take your eyes away from what you really want to look at. A black background will put emphasis on everything else inside the tank as well as highlight the actual shape of your aquascaping. You have a nice setup but a background would definately make it *pop*
