MY 55Gal Tank--

OK this is my 55gal

I started this tank on Oct 18, 2005....

Here is my story

I bought this tank for 30$... it was a old reptile tank...

I started off with a 400 shelter filter....
and a coralife T-5 series Double Linears strips
10,000K Daylight & true Actinic 03 Blue
POWERSWEEP 270GPH Oscillating Powerhead Wavemaker
Two bags of live sand

Now Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m running

Lighting: Coralife PC with moon LED

Overflow Box

Filter: 400gph Cyclone Bio-Filter----FOR THE RETURN I have a 800GPH Power Head

POWERSWEEP 270GPH Oscillating Powerhead Wavemaker

Protein Skimmer: Red Sea Prizm Hang-on Protein Skimmer

Submersible 32' Odyssea moon LED

I even had worms.... but they didnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t make it to longââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦ the Pods started eating them alive....

After a cycle i put 3 Yellow Tail Damsels, 1 Clown Goby - Yellow, 1 Pixy/Spotted Hawkfish, & a (Condylactis) Haitian Reef Anemone

These are form Dec 2005

There is a big gap from Dec to April

I lost the (Condylactis) Haitian Reef Anemone....the powerhead got him....

I added a Purple Basslet...

I Am going to try to keep this update as I go alongââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦. So this is where I will startââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦.

My Harry shroom Balled up todayââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦.

this was the first time I have seen this happenââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦.it was over in like 45secââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦. I think it grabbed some food

I put some food near the Basslet so I could get some pics of her, but she likes to hide in the wave maker...
and I looked over and the shroom is all balled up (__)

Nice 55 but the powersweep IMO is no where near enough flow. I have a 55 with 2 MJ1200, 1 sieo 620, and a fluval canister filter running carbon. I'm thinking of adding another PH also. The powersweep is very unreliable too.

The very first set of pics where taking with my older phone.... i upgraded in Jan...and I just started using it...My Verizon LG-VX8100

This is the only camera Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve got

I made the video with the phone to...
my phone only takes 15sec clips....so i took like 18 takes to make it.... editing was in Sony Vegas.... I was bord... made in like 15mins....
