Looks like its doing ok, but you really have to face it up towards the light and not sideways, otherwise it won't get enough light and can get weak and perish. Just orient it with like the incurrent siphon facing you but the clam straight up, you can still see the colors that way.

Nice first clam! I agree with cal3v though, you might want to position it so that it's facing the light source. If you have it on the rocks you could place smaller rocks on each side so that it doesn't "jump off" until it attaches on its own.

Thank you for the help. I repositioned it as you said and now it is in an upright position facing the light. If fits well in the curved rock! Picture attached.

Looks good. Just make sure the crevace it is in is big enough for it to open as much as it wants.

Yes, there is a good space where it can fully open, this is a picture from the top.
