My first clam (?)

I have a 120 that is 24" deep. Lighting is four 36" vho's. The fish are not a problem, as I only have a small tang, two starfish, and a coral beauty angel. I read that high intensity lighting is necessary, but don't know if the vho's would qualify as such. I am looking for an easy to care for clam if indeed I do have enough lighting.

Squamosa, Derasa, or Hippopus would be my choice if you are going to put a clam under your current lighting.

With the tank being only 24" deep I would say VHO's just won't cut it. I would go with a couple of MH, even 2x150W would be better than your current lighting. Failing an upgrade, I would just put the clam purchase on hold.
