My hairy clam

My maxima's got Ha on it's shell. But what's the best way to take it off? There are tube worms on the shell.
Do I use a toothbrush or just leave it alone?

I plucked it off. I couldn't get all of it, and didn't want to stress the clam. Later, I added about 5 turbo snails to the tank, and a couple of them have cleaned him off completely.

I bought a clam like that and when I woke up the next morning, it was completely cleaned from the algae growing on it. Pretty darn good cleanup crew if you ask me.

I'll put an astrea on it tonight. That seems the easiest way & will cause limited stress to the clam.
